Your PLAZA INN Hamburg City Nord Team
The PLAZA INN Hamburg City Nord is located in the north of Hamburg, near Hamburg Airport. The S-Bahn (suburban train) station, located right next to the hotel, is a 7-minute ride from the airport. Hamburg City Center is also directly accessible by S-Bahn. The journey takes just 17 minutes. Thanks to its central location, our hotel is an attractive option for both business and leisure travelers. Guests arriving by car can use the hotel's underground parking garage.
Our hotel has 150 standard and 15 comfort rooms spread across four floors, all accessible by elevator. Free high-speed internet is available throughout the hotel. On sunny days, guests can relax on the hotel terrace or take excursions into the city or the surrounding Hamburg area.
A bike ride along the nearby Alster lake is just as possible as a hike through the quaint floodplain forests or a paddleboat ride. Located directly in Ohlsdorf is the world's largest park cemetery, where 1.4 million people are buried, including former Chancellor and Mayor of Hamburg, Helmut Schmidt. The heart of Ohlsdorf is the historic train station building, which also houses a suburban train (S-Bahn) and subway (U-Bahn) stop. From here, all of the city's attractions are quick and easy to reach. The Reeperbahn in St. Pauli is 9 kilometers away as the crow flies, and the world-famous Landungsbrücken (St. Pauli Piers) and the harbor are 7 kilometers away.
Three small meeting rooms (42, 42, and 65 square meters) are available for conferences and training sessions. The largest meeting room has a maximum capacity of 50 people. The rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows on one side, providing pleasant lighting. Of course, the rooms can also be darkened. Standard conference equipment is included in the room rental. Attractive packages ensure easy planning and affordable prices.
Are you planning a seminar, meeting, or workshop at our conference center?

Our hotel's central location between the airport and the city center makes it the perfect base for business trips to Hamburg.
Vacationers are, of course, also welcome and can explore the city and surrounding area of Hamburg from our hotel. Further information about local attractions can be found at the bottom of this page.
The Hanseatic city of Hamburg has much to offer. The red-light district in St. Pauli is world-famous. Restaurants, bars, theaters, discos, and nightclubs line Hamburg's Reeperbahn. It's certainly the place to be for night owls in Hamburg.
Friends of classical music, in particular, will also find a wide range of options in Hamburg. The Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg opened on January 11, 2017. Further details and tickets can be found at www.elbphilharmonie.de
Since July 2015, Hamburg's Speicherstadt (Warehouse District) and Kontorhausviertel (Office Building District) have been officially designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Also located on the waterfront are the Landungsbrücken (Landing Bridges), which are an important transport hub. The landmark of Hamburg is St. Michael's Church – also known as "Michel Hamburg." The church tower, open to tourists, offers a fantastic view over the entire city. The former main church, St. Nikolai, has been a ruin since World War II and also serves as a memorial to the victims of the Nazi regime.
The former water tower in the Winterhude district houses the Planetarium. It is one of the oldest planetariums in the world and was recently modernized. Those who prefer to focus on earthly realms can take a boat tour on the Inner and Outer Alster lakes and admire Hamburg from the water. A visit to the Hamburg Fish Market, on the other hand, is usually much more lively. People dance to live music here from the early morning hours. Every Sunday, it also attracts 70,000 visitors to the Elbe River.
Our hotel has 150 standard and 15 comfort rooms spread across four floors, accessible by elevator. When the weather is nice, our guests can relax on the hotel terrace or take a bike tour along the Alster River using our bicycles. Our meeting rooms (42, 42, and 65 square meters) also offer space for training sessions and conferences.
Ohlsdorf borders Hummelsbüttel to the north, Wellingsbüttel, Bramfeld, and Steilshoop to the east, Barmbek-Nord to the south, and Alsterdorf and Fuhlsbüttel to the west. The Alster River forms the border with Hummelsbüttel and, in part, also with Fuhlsbüttel and Alsterdorf. The city center is only 6 km away. The S-Bahn (suburban train) covers this distance in 17 minutes. Fuhlsbüttel Airport is even closer, just 1.5 km away, a 7-minute S-Bahn ride.
All the major attractions are also easily accessible, including the Hamburg Messe (trade fair center), Miniatur Wunderland (miniature wonderland), St. Michael's Church, St. Pauli, the Landungsbrücken (landing bridges), the harbor, and the city center. The S1 and S11 S-Bahn lines stop directly at the hotel at the "Ohlsdorf" station. The U1 subway line is also located there. Additionally, bus stops for lines 172, 179, 39, 607, 170, 270, 174, and 274 are located directly at the hotel.
The easiest way to reach our hotel from Hamburg Airport (Fuhlsbüttel) is by taking the S1 suburban train. You can also use the same S-Bahn line to get to the hotel from Hamburg city center, for example, if you're arriving by train. For those traveling by car, the A7 motorway is a convenient option. It runs north-south through Hamburg and passes just 5 km west of the hotel.
